Muscle Rehabilitation

Muscle Rehabilitation accompanied with Acupuncture results in rapid recovery with stress reduction. Muscle Rehabilitation is used in treating muscle, tendon and ligament injuries, and crippling diseases. It is remarkably effective for skeletal structures that lie deep within the body that cannot be reached with the fingers in regular massage. It is done transversely on muscle fibers and has no relationship to relaxation massage.

Muscle Tension Scan Technology

Sun and Moon Acupuncture is a leader in conducting Muscle Tension Scans on patients to complete a thorough analysis of the condition of their muscle tension and spine alignment. These Computerized Spinal Examinations which scan your body through Surface Electromyograpy (sEMG) are used to evaluate the relative levels of electrical activity associated with Energy Blockage. When a case results in Energy Blockage, it leads to improper electrical impulses being passed through the body.

sEMG Scanning provides qualitative and quantitative data to assist clients (and Acupuncturists) determine which areas and levels of the nervous system need to be treated for Energy Blockage (Qi).

Bars are proportional to levels of muscle tension. Shows areas of hypertonic or hypotonic muscle tension.

Treatment Plans

Free Initial Consultation. The free initial consultation introduces the patient to the procedures of acupuncture and its application to the patients needs. The initial consultation will determine whether the patient can benefit from a treatment.

Medical Exam. A full examination of the patient is performed in order to determine the appropriate course of treatment. The medical exam includes physical examination; stress test; orthopedic test; muscle test ;neurological test; chiropractic tests; posture test; urine test. sEMG, AcuGraph. The tests will determine the treatment plan.

Initial 4-course treatment. Patients are encouraged to commit to 4 treatments to adequately address and realize the benefits of acupuncture for the patient.

Tailored Treatment Plans. Acute Care, Maintenance Care, Wellness Care and Preventative Care Plans are available. Customized treatment plans include acupuncture, massage, and drug-free treatments emphasizing holistic approaches to better health and well being.
